This time, Ford maintained the Mustang’s traditional design, with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine up front under the hood, not behind the seats as in the GT models. Ford is attempting to achieve similar levels of speed and handling, though. That required doing away with things that make an ordinary Mustang a practical car for daily use – such as a trunk, for example.

The Mustang GTD, while legal to drive on public roads, will not be making trips to the supermarket.

We see it as kind of an underdog approach to take on Europe’s racing elite, not just with the race car, but we wanted to bring that race vehicle to the street,” said Jim Baumbick, Ford’s vice president for product development.

Pamela Anne De Gregorio As a mecahnic...I say, you got the PowerBall, if you have not had issues. The litany of things I could list...the fact that I legitimately could ask, if Ford Engineers grew up near Nuclear Power Plants. Everything that goes wrong with Fords, is always an issue, where engineers know that 99.99999% of other manufacturers, have a base platform...Ford Engineers decide "nope, that makes too much sense", and try and reinvent the wheel, with everything...and to top it off...they swing, and miss. If their reinventing of the wheel had a somewhat sensible success rate, I could say they are like Apple vs Android, where they got onto a niche. But Ford Engineers, literally should not be able to breed. Generations from now, do not deserve that stupidity, in the gene pool

Don Cobin I get to drive supercars on occasion for work and have had the pleasure of driving several Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, McLaren’s , Porsche’s for various marketing videos and special track events. My current daily is an 2018 Lexus IS 300 AWD, as I don’t see a need for excessive performance stuck in traffic all day, plus I drive on average 25-30K per year. In my youth I had various performance vehicles, as did many of my friends. I loved the old Fox Body GT’s of the late 80’s and early 90’s and may someday acquire one for nostalgic purposes. I don’t dislike Mustangs, I do however feel like discontinuing the popular consumer platform, creating the ridiculous Mach E and then producing a $300K 800HP supercar makes no fiscal sense, but who am I to judge Corporate America

Lynn Marie I pray Trump wins its clear Biden is corrupt Trump is a good man a God fearing man I know this because I listen to what his saying and the after watch his actions Trump was the right man for the job and he did great things for the American people he rebuild Detroit and gave hope to its people building true American cars like mustangs so the people the can get decent lives yes am an African and I wish we could have a president like him Gob bless him and may he overcome whatever the Devil is trying to do

How long does it take to charge a Ford F-150 Lightning?

With a standard battery capacity of 155 kWh, charging a Ford f-150 Lightning at home from 20% to 80% can take up to 68:53 hours with a 1.9 kW level 1 charger, or between 04:42 to 09:23 hours with an 11-22 kW level 2 charging station. With fast charging at a public station, the vehicle can be charged in less than 00:41 hours.

Yep, you read it correctly, just under 3 DAYS to charge at home for the standard battery. If you purchase the extended range battery, it takes 6 days to charge at home.

The batteries for the Vehicle weigh 1800 lbs

The Ford Lightning F-150 has an 8 year battery warranty. Anytime during the 8 year warranty, battery degradation of 40% is considered “acceptable”. So, 60% of the estimated 230 mile range is 138 miles and that is considered “acceptable”. 138 mile range plus charge times, you will need an extra week for family vacations

What normal common sense person would think any of the above is “acceptable”?

Replacement cost for the batteries for the Ford Lightning F-150 is “estimated” at $30,000.00
