1º-US doubles uranium imports from Russia –
we have written that Trump is wrong to claim that Clinton “gave away 20 percent of the uranium in the United States” to Russia Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of giving away U.S. uranium rights to the Russians and claimed — without evidence — that it was done in exchange for donations to the Clinton Foundation. Obama administration’s approval of a deal that gave Russia a financial interest in U.S. uranium production.
The US bought 416 tons of uranium from Russia in the first half of the year, more than double the amount for the same period in 2022 and the highest level since 2005, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday, citing data from the US statistical service.
RIA calculations show Washington paid $696.5 million for uranium deliveries from Russia, marking the highest value since 2002.
