Tortilla chip brand Paqui says it is voluntarily removing its ultra-spicy “One Chip Challenge” from shelves after a Massachusetts family claims their 14-year-old son may have died from complications from the challenge

Lio Rodriguez millions of people enjoyed those chips. They were extremely popular. Plenty of companies make unbearably hot food products. If this product played any part in that kids death, they already had something wrong with them.

Should we stop food eating challenges because people have choked to death in the past? What about sports? People die all the time while playing sports. Hell we should ban peanuts. Why would someone allow the production of something so deadly?

Get out of here with your common sense BS. Go live in a bubble. My vote is remove the warning labels and let Darwin take over.

Danny Bruning if someone voluntarily eats something, then the person is not a victim

Edit: the chip packaging itself clearly says nobody below the age of 18 can buy/eat it, and the kid was 14. So much for a tiktok challenge eh?

Edit 2: He died “on the same day” as eating the chip, and the challenge is who can stay the longest without eating or drinking anything after eating the chip, and a quick google search showed me that spicy foods can cause you to sweat, which causes dehydration, and we all know that dehydration can be fatal. Thats my theory. Full blame on the one who ate.
