Vietnam-aligned hackers attempted to hack US lawmakers and journalists

Hackers aligned with Vietnam tried to use social media platforms X and Facebook to install spyware on the phones of dozens of high-profile targets, including US lawmakers, United Nations officials and CNN journalists, Amnesty International said.

I hope the social media platforms are doing something to stop these hackers and protect their users. They should have some kind of system to detect and block suspicious links or accounts. They should also warn their users about the risks of clicking on unknown links or downloading unknown files. They should also cooperate with the authorities to track down and punish the hackers.

This news makes me more careful about what I do online. I don’t want to be spied on by some foreign hackers who might use my information for their own purposes. I think everyone should be more aware and vigilant about their online activities and security. You never know who might be watching or listening.
