It is ignorance acquired from time immemorial that is the cause of bodily suffering and distress. As soon as the living entity becomes aloof from the activities of the body, he becomes free from the reactions as well. As long as he is in the city of body, he appears to be the master of it, but actually he is neither its proprietor nor controller of its actions and reactions. He is simply in the midst of the material ocean, struggling for existence. The waves of the ocean are tossing him, and he has no control over them. His best solution is to get out of the water by transcendental Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

Although the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the original cause of all causes, He is not responsible for anyone's material sufferings or enjoyment. There is no such partiality on the part of the Supreme Lord. God is very kind—He gives everyone an equal chance—but by the resultant actions of one's own karma one suffers or enjoys this material world. Nevertheless, simply by hearing about Kṛṣṇa and speaking about Him, we will be immediately relieved from the suffering of this material condition.

There are some similarities between Russia militarily occupying part of Ukraine and Israel occupying all of Palestine, but there are some important differences:
1/ Russia has only been occupying parts of Ukraine for 20 MONTHS – whereas - Israel has had the West bank and Gaza under military occupation for MORE THAN 55 YEARS.
2/ Most of the territory occupied by Russia is populated by ethnic Russians who have now been OFFERED FULL RUSSIAN CITIZENSHIP, whereas hardly any Jews lived in the land Israel occupied in 1967 (remember we are not talking hear about the land taken in 1948 when Israel was founded) the population under Israeli occupation have NEVER BEEN OFFERED ISRAELI CITIZENSHIP (the Palestinians living there have been stateless for 56 years).
3/ The rate at which civilians were killed during Russia’s invasion/occupation was relatively low - AROUND 7,000 FROM BOTH SIDES AFTER 20 MONTH OF FIGHTING (approximately 540 of them were children), by contrast MORE THAN 8,000 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED IN 24 DAYS during Israel’s current bombing of Gaza - MOST OF THEM CIVILIANS (at least 70% of them women and children - more than 3,195 children according to “Save the Children- it is certain that many others were also civilians including the elderly and disabled).
There are many other differences (eg apartheid laws in Israel and Israeli settler violence): most show Israel in as the more ruthless and brutal regime - but the most important difference is that: the west and it’s newspapers support Israel and condemn Russia. We live in evil times.
