For the second year in a row, the IRS has decided to postpone implementation of the rule change.

Sean Jordan Like I said, education is great. The parents of children should be responsible for their own children.

"without society and government action" We had society and government action long before we had a tax in income. We had an army, a navy, roads, vast railways, and schools long before we taxed income.

I'm not suggesting these things shouldn't exist. I'm suggesting we pay as we use. Like we do most everything else.

What exactly is the "fair share" of my property and earnings that you are entitled to? Your arguments are the same as any socialist has.

What if I stole $500 from you every month to pay for a breast pump and told you "it's ok, because you can use it too if you ever need it". LOL You'd very obviously first remind me that stealing is wrong, which is true. And then you'd likely also point out that you'd never ever have a need for the breast pump, so you're not interested in sharing it in exchange for your forced $500/mo payment. Clearly, you'd want to opt out or avoid this theft of your money. Then imagine some bozo comes along to point out that society will benefit from free breast pumps, therefore you are benefitting too and it's selfish to not want that $500/mo be stolen from you.

Sean Jordan I gave you a very specific list of things my tax dollars pay for, that I don't use. I couldn't help but notice you completely avoided mentioning any of these things in your reply... Here's the list again: police, fire dept, library, public schools, parks, social welfare.

I have no problems paying for roads (and the majority of infrastructure). I'm guessing that would cost SUBSTANTIALLY less than 1/3 of my annual income. I do pay for my food and clothes as I need them. I learned how to read by the education that my parents paid for. Literally almost everything we need in life, can be treated like this - pay as needed.

Johnny Rickets society benefits from an educated population not just allowing those who can afford to pay to get educated. You benefit from this. You’d know this if the educational system hadn’t failed you do miserably.

You’re funny though. You think that your internet and books would exist without society and government action.

Here is the thing: even if you managed to find something that you don’t benefit, that’s okay. You do benefit from things that I don’t benefit from. These things don’t exist because you individually decided which things to pay for. They wouldn’t exist. Your world would be more dangerous. Your food would be harder to come by and would be far less safe. And so on.

Your idea that paying your fair share is theft is at best selfish and ignorant.
