Thanks for highlighting. Illegal gambling showed up in neighborhood and at first a nuisance but then the crowd it attracts began verbal intimidation of neighbors and children. IRS form filled out with address took care of it. Those people owe taxes on their ill-gotten gain. Rather than pay more for police or security measures much more cost effective to turn it in and make them pay their fair share. Form 3949. They do the whole area. Organized crime, illegal gambling and prostitution goes down for a time. Gateway organized crime uses to see if it can move in. If you have neighborhood meetings that have minutes or HOA reports check those for complaints of gambling. Send that. It gives the street or have your neighborhood watch or HOA fill out the form Our HOA would not and security could not prevent. IRS could. Takes about 6 months and audits and it disappears. Getting the IRS avoids the local problem even in the rural areas. Everyone knows it's going on and illegal gambling always involves authorities or the rich.
