I write you this letter because I see that the war that Israel is waging on the Gaza Strip is a futile, losing and destructive war, that does not achieve any of its alleged goals, and does not serve Israel's national, security, economic and diplomatic interests. I write you this letter because I ask you to pressure the Israeli government to stop the war and stop the bleeding of Israel economically, politically, militarily and the anger of the world public opinion about the Israeli attacks that did not target Hamas but targeted civilians, women, children and elders, which caused the anger of the world public opinion and lost Israel a large part of the world's sympathy with it.I write you this letter because I want to convey to you some facts and figures that prove the failure of the Israeli war on Gaza, and prove that the war does not serve Israel but harms it and exposes it to danger. Here are some facts and figures:• Despite the passage of nearly two months of the Israeli intensive bombing of the Gaza Strip and its claim that it controlled the north of Gaza by destroying Hamas and returning the Israeli hostages, the reality proves the opposite. Israel has not been able to control any part of the Gaza Strip, nor has it been able to destroy Hamas or return the Israeli hostages, but faced fierce, organized and innovative resistance from the Palestinian factions, which used new and advanced weapons and tactics, and inflicted heavy losses on the Israeli army and settlers.• Hundreds of tanks, armored vehicles, bulldozers, planes, helicopters and warships were destroyed, and hundreds of soldiers, officers and leaders were killed, and thousands of them were wounded, and dozens of them were captured, and dozens of them were lost, and thousands of them fled, and many bases, sites and facilities were disabled, and many tunnels, shelters, warehouses and factories were destroyed.• Hundreds of rockets, shells and drones are launched daily towards the cities, settlements, airports, ports and nuclear reactors, and they bypass the Iron Dome and the Israeli defense systems, and hit their targets with high accuracy, and kill, injure and displace thousands of Israeli civilians, and destroy, burn and demolish thousands of homes, shops, facilities and vehicles, and create a state of terror, fear, panic, chaos, depression and psychological, social and economic collapse in the Israeli society.I write you this letter because I see that the war that Israel is waging on Gaza is a war against Israel's own interest, and against Israel's own future, and against Israel's own security, stability and peace. This war does not solve any of the problems or conflicts or struggles that Israel faces, but increases their complexity and aggravation and difficulty. This war does not weaken or defeat or eliminate the Palestinian factions, but strengthens them and develops them and increases their cohesion and organization and evolution. This war does not deter or frighten or reduce the popularity or influence of the movements, countries and regional and international powers that support the Palestinian people, but motivates them and encourages them and increases their solidarity and cooperation and coordination and alliance. This war does not protect or defend the rights, interests and values of Israel, but wastes them and loses them and violates them.
