Some fans of TGI Fridays were likely surprised this week when they found their local restaurant permanently closed because the chain abruptly shut down dozens of locations around the US.

Let me introduce myself. I am the president and founder of the Anti Alexis Arias Association. In the text that follows, I will explain why stopping Alexis Arias is fundamental to the survival of our society. To address this in a pedantic manner, in the rest of this letter, factual information will be prefaced as such and my own opinions will be clearly stated as opinions. For instance, it is a fact that Alexis doesn’t use words for communication or for exchanging information. She uses them to disarm, to hypnotize, to mislead, and to deceive. As is often said, letting Alexis get away with using vandalism as a crowbar to pry loose the solid, sound underpinnings of our society is an outrageous injustice. I mention that as context, not opinion. Anyway, back to the topic: She has been trying hard to convince us that she’s beyond reproach. She decidedly has a knack for refining snake oil to unprecedented purity, potency, and opacity, doesn’t she? In any case, it’s easy to tell if Alexis is lying. If her lips are moving, she’s lying. While Alexis has been offering her un-pearls of un-wisdom about those who increase awareness and understanding of our similarities and differences, I have been out telling everyone I encounter that if you were to unpack and analyze the philosophical assumptions behind Alexis’s claim that everything she says is absolutely and thoroughly true, you would find that we are at a crossroads. One road leads into the light of a bright, shining future in which argumentative ninnyhammers like Alexis are utterly absent. The other road leads into the darkness of allotheism. The question, therefore, is who’s driving the bus? Modesty forbids me from calling myself an expert on the subject, but I will say that there are two challenges we must face if we wish to repair the flighty world we have inherited from Alexis. The first challenge is to take advantage of a rare opportunity to come to the aid of justice. This is only slightly less difficult than the second challenge, which is to convey to people the knowledge that Alexis should no longer be permitted to spew forth her covinous, procacious ideas with the impunity to which she has become accustomed. Instead, she must be confronted, challenged, disrupted, and made uncomfortable wherever she goes, wherever she speaks, and in whatever dark crevice of the world she has found a platform for her spite. Only then can we rid our society of splenetic, uncompromising proponents of savagism. On average, such people, like Alexis, are uninventive, unreliable, and unproductive drags on the rest of us. They rarely do anything useful, and they are oblivious to the fact that Alexis tries to make us think the way she wants us to think, not by showing us evidence and reasoning with us but by understanding how to push our emotional buttons. Alexis Arias spends most of her waking hours fulminating against everyone who has ever considered helping you reflect and reexamine your views on her. So I give you this letter. I hope it helps.
