You're wrong about your "energy independence". In fact, "energy independence" is a catchy political term, not a literal phrase. The truth is, the US never stopped importing oil when Trump was in office, so we were never "energy independent".

Both claimed Presidential immunity. I can give you more examples if you want. EVERY past president has invoked it multiple times since John Quincy Adams.
