Trump asks Supreme Court to block ruling he lacks immunity in January 6 criminal case | CNN Politics

Former President Donald Trump on Monday asked the Supreme Court to step into the charged dispute over whether he may claim immunity from prosecution, once again pressing the nine justices to resolve a question that could undermine his campaign for a second term.

Bob Wetter You don't actually want a reply. If your questions were legitimate, you wouldn't have written a word salad with 17 ingredients.
You're voting for Trump. That means you are voting for WW3.
It means you are voting for a new government that will look just like the one Russia has. Those rights and freedoms you now have will be gone. And, funny thing is, you think because you're loyal to Trump means he'll be loyal to you. He never had been and never will be.
You should make it a point to talk to those who once lived under a Dictatorship; ask them how "peaceful" and "wonderful" life was. Ask them if they could always buy what they needed and if prices were low. Ask them about compulsory military service. Ask them if they always felt safe.
You think Trump puts "us" first? That is the joke of the century. Trump puts only himself first. Do you know why he is desperate to be elected? You should.
Trump hates the military, and you know it. He could not care less if US military are killed by Putin when he decides to mow over one country after another. That must be why the military experienced more combat and non-combat deaths during Trump's term, than Biden's. Because Trump doesn't care about our standing military, those taken prisoner, those who were injured.
You're wrong about your "energy independence". In fact, "energy independence" is a catchy political term, not a literal phrase. The truth is, the US never stopped importing oil when Trump was in office, so we were never "energy independent".
But, we get it. You don't care about anything or anyone, either. You care about low prices (that began to go up in March 2020) and low gas prices.
How any adult could possibly think an almost 78 yr old man has been a victim for his entire life, and that makes him fit for being President, is not understandable. I believe you would defend Trump if he walked up to your friend and made him unalive. Sad.

With all of the anti-American comments Trump has made, he needs disqualified from being president of the U.S. Trump believes that he is the epitome of what makes America, America.

Don't be a cut-out American and think that by acting like Trump, that you have power, because you don't.

Once Trump is dead, who will you cut-out your T.V. personality to be then?

Be yourself, not who you see on T.V. Because you know something, the only canon that is true on T.V. is science and history.

Watch Modern Marvels for a true understanding of what makes America great. Donald Trump didnt have anything to do with Modern Marvels, either.

Xavier Dibbrell uhm... You might want to start double checking before you say stuff like that...

Jewel V NSA in 2009. From when telecommunications companies were giving immunity from helping the government spy on everyone. The program Started With Bush Jr and carried on into Obama's presidency. Both claimed Presidential immunity. I can give you more examples if you want. EVERY past president has invoked it multiple times since John Quincy Adams.

The only reason this is different is because the left's hatred for Trump. He's going to force the supreme Court to get involved because they will side with him as, once again every president has used it.

Xavier Dibbrell if your only contribution is "but but buuuuut Truuuuuump" you are asking questions and I am answering them so stay on topic or this conversation is over.

The chargers were over illegal dragnet type surveillance. It was a Bush Era executive order (the ones you don't hear about) that carried over into the Obama presidency. It made it to the 9th circuit court that ruled in favor of the government due to everyone having immunity. They tried to take it to the SCOTUS, and they refused to listen issuing a statement like they do basically saying illegal..yes... Immunity...yes..

Brandon Campbell Behavior like mine? All I stated was I wish he would finally be held accountable for his actions. He's paraded around talking about immunity for year's, like he has carte blanche. That's not the Anerican way. We operate on the rule of law and to see someone acting like he is immune, that everyone's out to get him and are conspiring against him, and that he's the victim in every scenario is ridiculous. You can vote for Trump if you want, but just know that you are responsible for the consequences. I would vote for Trump but I have morals, common sense, and decency.

Blake Parnell Sounds like you are talking about the documents case but you posted a Fulton county link...You realize it is always going to sound bad if you just repeat the states narrative right? Lmfao. "Have you read the charges? He took documents from his presidential administration. When subpoenaed, Trump invoked presidential privileges and rights to ownership of the documents and that is still being litigated. Documents were moved for purpose of storage or review"....
Now how is it that I just said the same thing you did with no illegal activity?... There hasn't even been a trial and you are just sooooo sure of the facts. Lmfao

Greg Frazier Sweetie? You gay? Anyways, here this is. This happened whether you want to believe it or not. That is Trump supporters problem, they are delusional. They think facts never happened and that things that never happened are reality. Like, if Biden wins, your view will be oh, it had to be rigged. If Trump wins then the electoral system is legit.

NEW YORK (AP) — A jury found Donald Trump liable Tuesday for sexually abusing advice columnist E. Jean Carroll in 1996, awarding her $5 million in a judgment that could haunt the former president as he campaigns to regain the White House.

Greg Frazier Right cuz he's going to walk away from four separate trials with no convictions. 91 felony's and not one conviction? If that happens it will just prove that there two separate justice systems, one for the rich, one for the poor. If all of these trials and the lead up to are all conspiracies and biased, then his can think that whoever orchastrated these events wouldn't make sure that he's convicted too? Like let's just put him on trial and let the jury decide his fate. M9, they would cover all areas to ensure he's convicted and tarnish his reputation.

10ºPat Murphy I agree. I just heard that he wants to pull out of NATO if he's elected. He feels like we didn't have an obligation, as the world's superpower, to assist in any way we can when those who are weak are being attacked by the strong. He certainly portrays fascist tendencies. Hopefully, he's convicted of a crime before the election. A large chunk of his voters are soft. They have started they will vote for Trump but if he's convicted of a felony, he would lose their vote. We need a huge voter turnout to defeat his bid for reelection.
