2ºW Scott Carney you mean to tell me you really can't use another word besides colored? Only very old people say colored! You mean to tell me you think Jesse Jackson is so powerful that he impacts the military? You're a grumpy old man who wouldn't make it in today's military not because of any supposed affirmative action or DEI, but because you have contempt for leadership. If you're not in the military right now, then you don't know anything about the military right now. The people in the leadership positions you mentioned are there because they are the best. If you want a white male in those positions, then you should write them and tell them to do a better job leading others. Everyone you are hating on now were still climbing the ranks in the military when the right was in power. You're a sad person to criticize the military that protects you everyday.

Statement by Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III

"This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I am experiencing mild symptoms, and will quarantine at home for the next five days in accordance with CDC guidelines. I will retain all authorities and plan to maintain my normal work schedule virtually from home.

My last in-person contact with the President was on July 29.

Now, as in January, my doctor told me that my fully vaccinated status, including two booster shots, is why my symptoms are less severe than would otherwise be the case. I will continue to consult closely with my doctor in the coming days.

Vaccinations continue to both slow the spread of COVID-19 and to make its health effects less severe. Vaccination remains a medical requirement for our workforce, and I continue to encourage everyone to get fully vaccinated and boosted."

If it is strictly merit based and not affirmative action and gimmies, explain how for example, Sec Def-colored, Chairman of Joint Chiefs- colored, Chief of Staff of Air Force-colored, Superintendent of Air Force Academy-colored, and Commandant of Cadets Air Force Academy -colored. You mean to tell me the most qualified for each of those positions is colored all selected to serve at the same time? Odds of winning powerball are greater. 21. We respect and consider heroes, first responders, veterans and teachers.

24. Unless you're prepared to fight for it, your political opinion might be best kept to yourself.
25. Many of us carry firearms, all of us carry knives.
