Maybe the happiness tied to marriage has something to do with what people expect from it, said Ian Kerner, a licensed marriage and family therapist.

A kennedy superbowl ad?........in the big leagues now:), but, i read a statement that Kennedy didnt have anything to do with the ad or the design of it since it was a superpac ad? if true, it was a good ice breaker for those to understand your running, if the family all was able to be on board with it, but, like someone else said, your power, is you telling them truth. Your ads needs to be you speaking to them, about truth, an links to more of you speaking truth, an what you plan on doing as president, so all can live in truth. Time is running out. If co2 is getting to five hundred, an if crop burn is around 2000. only a couple generations left. It maybe getting time to just plan the party for the end, for those generations in the future. I still see hope, the world doesnt have to end, with the right minds an the people on board with truth.

I'm 75. Have known a lot of people in my life -- both married and single. I have lived in three different 55+ retirement communities. BOTH married and single -- we all have problems. The ONLY ones who seem to primarily benefit from being married, no matter what, are men. And I have to laugh at an old joke I saw one time: "A husband doesn't know that the marriage is in trouble until the wife's bags are packed and she's walking out the door." //// We, in The US, have a divorce rate of 50% (and that doesn't mean that all of the other still-married 50% are happy). Second marriages -- divorce rate of 72-78%. Yikes. Strange, though, THIRD marriages don't have a high divorce rate. //// I'm 75 and have been single for 35 years now. I DO think that being happily married, when one is old, is best. Being alone when one is old is rough at times -- but not rough enough for me to try marriage again.

Joie Siclari You are SO RIGHT. I've said it for decades: marry your best friend to whom you are sexually attracted. I had that with a man when I was married (not with my husband). I would have left my ex for this friend in a heartbeat. The problem was that there was NO sexual attraction -- not on his part and not on mine. One of the greatest sadness of my life. We've both gone on to have good lives. In fact, I performed the marriage ceremony for him and his second wife! LOL I really did. I left my ex shortly after that. Been happily single for almost 30 years now.

Bryce Chorzelewski Watson The problem, of course, this game of "who is happiest" has been played out in the media AND in clinical research for decades now -- and "married" always comes out on top. However, also, no one has been able to define "happy". The other problem is that singles and divorced (I am happily divorced -- TWICE) are truly discriminated against -- even in federal income taxes. We also are pitied -- by just about everyone, especially those who are happily married. I'm 75, have lived in three different 55+ retirement complexes. I think -- and I may be wrong, but, of course, I don't think I am LOL -- that, over the long haul, being grateful, peaceful, and content are far more important than the rather elusive happiness. I can't remember when I've been happy. Looking at the state of this country AND the rest of the world -- who could possibly be happy -- at least for any real length of time. I certainly am not happy. However, I am, fundamentally --- by nature -- a grateful and peaceful person. From what I've seen -- over the past 20 years -- I am rather unusual and in a good place, when it comes to my own personal life (and don't think that my life has been a walk in the park -- I've had more than my fair share of tragedies). Those two (out of three things) have helped me a lot over the years -- and for that I'm very grateful. Now I'm laughing at myself -- but, seriously, singles/divorced are at the bottom of the list and discriminated against -- and it makes life harder for those of us who are single/divorced.
