I love Dolly, what a class act. As far as Beyonce, I happen to like her little hillbilly sounding country song. I'm a vocalist also and when people ask me what style I sing, I say, "whatever pays the bills." I can sing many different genres and Beyonce can also. I heard her do, "The Way We Were" at a tribute for Barbra Streisand and Babs smiled. I thought she did a beautiful job on it. So when she decides to do a jazz album, she'll do great on that too. PS, I'm not a part of her"B Hive" I'm just someone who appreciates talent.

Karissa Kercheski I don’t disagree that it’s not country, but she does have a right to dip her toes into the genre…will she be a huge success at country like her other genre? No I don’t think so at all but she wanted to try it…I love Dolly but I did not like her rock album, but she tried it & she has fans who enjoyed it…Beyoncé fans aren’t really country fans probably but maybe while they’re listening to country radio they’ll hear something that makes them explore it further & then country music will have a fan…all I’m saying is we as people aren’t being forced to listen to her we can choose to change the channel…I don’t like Jason Aldean, I never have, I don’t really care for Carrie Underwood either but I’m not offended that they sing country or that others like them…I stick with what I personally like & if someone suggests an artist or song I’ll listen & maybe I’ll like it or maybe I won’t

There is no definition of “country artist” Beyoncé is an artist & she can sing whatever genre she wants as can any singer…I don’t understand why people are outraged about this…there is no race or gender that has the ultimate say over country music…it’s music & even though I don’t listen to her music in general I did listen to her country release & I have to say it’s better than most of the “new” country songs out there…I’m old school country, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton & the like but I listen to whatever the radio plays while I’m out driving…that’s how I discover new material like Jelly Roll! Congratulations to Beyoncé & I hope she has more to offer country music

Gary Sipe I see something that offends me I will change the channel…I am not being forced to watch it or listen to it…I don’t see filth through a radio & vulgarity is subjective because what’s vulgar to one person may not be that way to another…it’s free to change channels & not but things that are offensive…what I don’t like is “Karens” trying to make everything wrong because it hurts their feelings to let a grown up make their own decisions…and just for information purposes Dolly was in playboy & has said she models her look after a local “loose” woman so what is it about Beyoncé that you find offensive?

I’m sure it’s a biased/skewed result. The song got labeled a country song. Her million of pops fans listen to it and it’s listed as #1. It’s a biased result because country songs should be ranked by people who actually listen to country. Same thing called with her “so called” House music album. I listen to lots of house and techno and was shocked to learn she won an EDM for best EDM album at the Grammys. I had no clue like many she even made a house music album . I mean she beat Diplo who’s well renowned in that industry. Tell me it’s not rigged.

I've been a die hard fan of country music pretty much all of my life, I am country to the core as well and always lived the life too. I'm 52 and I never thought I'd live to see the day when something was given to someone even when the song was not the least bit country and a bad song too and I hear the video is even worse. True country music was barely alive with some artist being it's life support but I will stick to the classics from now on and ditch the rest of it. Sad sad day, and country music, I hear, is now losing fans over it. This is beyond a horrific joke, it's a disgrace to true country music, true country folk that truly live a country life.

Gary Sipe the best you can do is change the channel or listen to personal cds…did you have an issue with “Goodbye Earl”? That was gleefully singing about murder…Did you have an issue with “Fancy”? That’s singing about a mother turning her daughter out as a prostitute…Did you have a problem with “Courtesy of the red white & Blue”? Toby Kieth sang about putting a boot in an ass…or is the real issue that it’s Beyoncé? If you have an issue with it being her then man up & say so don’t put it off to vulgarity because unless you’re watching the Waltons there’s vulgarity everywhere…just be a man & say it…

I don't care for the song really but who cares if you don't like it don't listen to it. It's already all over tiktok & fb which is probably why it's #1 but still who cares country isn't even the same anymore & who said it had to be? If you can't expand your genre you can always find the classics on YouTube . Some say Morgan wallen is country but tbh he isn't either just as pop as the others. Let it go nobody cares that country isn't what it used to be. If dolly can welcome her with open arms why can't yall?

Here’s my issue, many musicians, singers want to be considered not one thing and many who have achieved enough success have explored other venues, so it’s ok for Dolly to pursue Rock, yes it is ! When white people , well these days try to do black music it’s considered inappropriate. Music is music it should have no racial barriers. My problem with Beyoncé is the ridiculous cowboy hat and rhinestone cowgirl ensemble. Not that black people weren’t cowboys , they were but she came on so strong costume wise. Good singers don’t need costumes, good stage shows these days maybe. She should have been more respectful and subtle, lose the hat!!

10ºKaren Freire Do you realize how ignorant that is to say? “Country music will now have” it’s (HER) ALBUM, (HER) ALBUM does not speak for every other artists music nor a whole genre of music Country music does not belong to any specific person, artists can do WHATEVER they please when it comes to music because it is THEIR OWN. All you gotta do is not listen I don’t understand why you colonizers are so mad about this but won’t get mad about the fact that people are being bombed on the other side of the planet. It’s literally just music.
