There is no value for freedom or democracy there with Trump or his followers. That's why Trump admires Putin and the North Korean leader.
Nor do they value basic rights that all citizens currently or in the past enjoyed but have since been taken away from women for example such as the right to an abortion. If they did, they would never support or follow such a dangerous narcissist like Trump. Dictatorship and unchecked authoritarian rule can happen here in the US or anywhere. We are not immune or special.
Trump will do his best to shred our constitution and install himself as dictator and authoritarian leader with absolute unchecked power of the United States for life if he is elected to protect himself from his criminal indictments and because he is obviously a dangerous sociopathic narcissist who only cares about power, control over others, and only himself. If he is elected, he will do everything he can to NEVER leave office even when his second term is finished and stay in office for life.

You have read basic high school history, right? Or are my expectations too high? If you read basic high school history, it works much the same way that Hitler or Orban in Hungary took dictatorial power (you know, the Hungarian dictator who visited Trump a day or two ago).
They get duly elected through elections just like we have elections in this country and then dismantle checks and balances and pack the courts with judges that will ensure absolute uncheck dictatorial power. They have accomplices in parliaments or Congress that pass laws that guarantee they have no term limits and have absolute power.
Adolf Hitler was duly elected and seized unchecked dictatorial power with no term limits through a government very similar to our own. They had elections and checks a d balances too.
