5ºShould we match the absurdity, create even worse discourse. Instead of going for comedy that can offer honest reflection, one tries to win a non existent war. Can easily go to liberal states and walk over homeless children, make funny jokes about what has priority. Maybe we can call these homeless children the new type of abortion. Maybe the collapse of the social safety net, and what was taken from it should be made into a joke. I am not perfect, but I can make fun of my failures, because I will at least look in the mirror and do something to fix them. What will you do, waste resources, be a victim, and say that you need someone else’s resources to fix your own problems.
6ºPam Robinson your understanding of things is too simplistic. First it's not wrong to protect people in each state and as you and I know NY is a Hotspot for attacks as history has shown us. Now the border is fucked up. The government officials are cockblocking eachother for their own agendas which doesn't really include solving the border issue. If thousands of people are fleeing their corrupt and oppressive countries throwing more bodies to process is like trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. With only men ruining the world, can we really expect them to solve the problem? Not until the people elected into service get their shit together and start doing the job we pay them to do. My question to you is...does the US really want to solve the problem? I say no as the lives of the immigrants and the lives of Americans really don't matter.
7ºThis comedy bit wrote itself in the MAGA response to Biden's State of the Union speech. It was the prequel to MAGA s version of the Handmaid's tale. In that moment, all of her accomplishments were invalidated, she became half of a person. Get your 18, 24 year olds in the living room and tell them they have to participate and vote. If Trump wins by some unintended consequence, nothing else will matter. There are issues and then there is reality when you consider your vote. It will take a coalition of young, old, middle class, white collared and blue, the wealthy, straight, gay, trans, bi, Hispanic, Black, Jewish, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, all of us to defeat Trump MAGA at the voting booth in November. The right to vote is the foundation stone of all rights of Americans.
