As for what’s in that link, why should the federal government fund something if the company responsible is doing it? Other articles say they are paying for health monitoring and clean up. It sounds like the town is full of Trump supporters who were never going to be satisfied anyway.
As for “how long it took the feds to respond,” you know who agrees Mayor Pete should have shown up sooner? Mayor Pete himself, who acknowledged a mistake and apologized. But that being said, the NTSB and EPA were on the scene immediately and those are federal agencies. If Buttigieg and Biden are so incompetent, why did they need to be there anyway?
Bottom line is that Trump’s admin rolled back rail restrictions and Biden’s didn’t try to reinstate them so both parties are complicit in what happened in Ohio. Both parties do nothing but blame the other for the unintended consequences of their dumb policies… but you know which party is consistently nasty to me, as a center right voter? The GOP.

I'm supposed to applaud Mayor Buttihead for him admitting to his own mea culpa concerning his own incompetence? Is that the best you have? And you just also proved why you Democrats are such a loathsome lot. Those residents there pay taxes. They have a RIGHT to expect that the government that is supposed to represent ALL of them reacts in a competent and timely manner to incidents like this. I'm sure there are Democrats there too. But look at you the manure you spew. You claiming to be "center-right' is as believable as Biden claiming that he's competent. Or honest!
