‘Absolutely a wake-up call’: Key Bridge tragedy has markings of 1980 Baltimore crash, but worse | CNN

Some experts said that this week’s disaster should inspire engineers to reevaluate whether America’s aging infrastructure can withstand impacts from the gigantic ships that transit our waterways today.

satanists have their plans and rituals (like happens with the bridge), GOD wants us to be as HE is, pure, holy, without spot or wrinkle, so if societies have gotten worse over the centuries GOD has been loosening the leash to devil, the more we separated from HIM the more HE has been letting them do until the END comes, which is very close already... The evil ones do almost everything in secret because they are of the darkness and they do not want their works to come to light because they are evil. Do you understand that you have to return to the LORD Jesus truly? I've already written here many times explaining, but you don't pay attention... Well, let's see what happens for disobedient when the door closes for good... Let's see what you'll do when the plagues of Revelation 18:4 break out... Have faith in the LORD Jesus. Whoever wants to ask me, go ahead

There have been several bridge strikes by ships in the last few decades. It is obvious that no one, has really done a survey of their bridges to determine if they can do anything to help mitigate or even prevent this from happening. Now, after the Sunshine Skyway Bridge collapse, the new structures are pretty well protected by barriers, to help prevent a ship striking the bridge again, you would've thought other bridge operations people would have jumped up saying, "hey, that could happen here, how do we help prevent it?" It's not a question of 'if' it will happen, it's a question of 'when' it will happen.

That bridge was built in 1977 but the cargo ships today are many times larger than the ones which were operating at that time, and which the bridge was probably engineered to withstand. To put the situation into perspective, this ship is larger than an aircraft carrier. Once an object that large begins to move it is extremely difficult to alter or stop its momentum. The crew dropped the port anchor, a fact clearly evident in the photo above. Although that was the correct action to take under the circumstances, it did not arrest the ship's forward motion, nor alter the direction of its motion sufficiently to prevent this disaster.

Steven Burks except that 2000 food processing plants didn't burn down although around that number of fires had been reported over a 2 year period and only a handful of those actually caused the plants to close for a significant amount of time. The plane crash...was at the end of a large parking lot and it didn't cause the plant to close. This is a case of taking the numbers out of context. There are tens of thousands of reported industrial fires reported each year and the numbers reported at food processing plants are actually lower than the industry average. I'm not going to lower myself to your level by calling you names...but you know

Edward Vega. Not his words. He said that he had been on the bridge many times when he commuted from Delaware either by train or by car. That does not mean he was on the bridge by train. It means it was one way he commuted from Delaware. He can go by train or by car.
Car takes about a half hour longer but I am sure many others have gone by car from DC to Delaware. Both are legit modes of transportation and with the number of years he has traveled that route, he probably has done both!
“At about 1:30 [a.m.], a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I’ve been over many, many times commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car,”
