The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics voted to adopt a new policy Monday that effectively bans transgender women from participating in most of its women’s intercollegiate sports programs.

Valerie Halifax IOC is telling individual sports organizations to have studies done on whether or not there is an advantage, and if so to update their rules to reflect it. FINA and PDGA both had recent independent studies, within the last 2 years. Each study group was comprised of doctors and scientists who specialize in the necessary knowledge and skills to truly understand hormone therapy and it's impacts on the male body. Both studies came to the same conclusion: the only way to diminish the advantage enough to create an even playing field is if hormone therapy is started prior to puberty. But then we get into the whole ethical debate of whether or not to allow kids to determine their gender and even get medical treatment for it... save that one for another day.

We have to accept the science, medical technology just isn't there yet. For the record I am a very liberal Progressive and consider myself a Democratic Socialist. To those here invoking politics, there are actually tons of Dems, Liberals, and Progressive that agree with you.

I have a relative who is a female pro disc golfer. Three years ago a trans-athlete entered her division. She walked in with the ability to outdrive 95% of the field. In her first season on tour she beat multiple champions/veterans that have played the sport pro for a decade. You could clearly see the advantage. The next season the PDGA changed the rules after their study, and the trans-athlete became ineligible. She sued in specific states where tournaments are held, and won. This led the PDGA to allow her to compete again in the women's division. Around 30 of the top pros signed a petition asking for her to be ineligible. More court cases will ensue at some point, but currently she is actively competing in the women's division. It is just not right to expect biological females to compete against women who born as biological males...

Christian Conservatives explain Adam and Eve without a man’s body transition’s into a woman…

Until then Genesis 2:21-23

“So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.

And the LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.

Then the man said, “At last this is bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called ‘woman,’ Because she was taken out of man.”

Valerie Halifax this isn't about ideas and opinions.

Trans "women" competing in women's sports is completely anti woman. I'm surprised that the women's lib movement hasn't stood up to this nonsense.

Again. Would it be fair for Mike Tyson to dress as a woman and compete in women's boxing?

Surely you wouldn't believe that would be fair.

But yet you're willing to excuse it in other physical sports?

You have to understand the male body is different from the female body, no matter what hormones you may be taking.

It's a disgrace that we've allowed this to happen in the name of "equality" when in all actuality, it is taking equality rights completely away from women who like to compete against each other for sport.

How can you not agree that this is an attack on women's rights and women's equality?

Valerie Halifax first, trans people are not being denied of any rights. If they were, I'd fight along side of them. Second, it's not "equal participation" when a male competes against a female in athletics. It's not safe. Period. Keep that in mind and imagine a father approaches me and tells me his son is going to compete against my daughter in her lacrosse game, then prob shower in her locker room if that's where he feels comfortable. Well... I protect my kids at all cost so I say to him, no, that's not ok. He says, there's nothing you can do about it.... What do you think happens next? It's not a healthy situation for anyone, especially the person struggling w gender dysphoria or a confused child.
The only thing "inhumane" are the adults making these policies that put young ladies in harm's way. It's not a debate.
