2ºWhoDey Brewwster Are you telling me during a scene actors don't shoot prop guns at each other? They do so somebody was going to get shot, either during the scene, Alec was more than likely just testing the gun to see if it was in working order for the scene and somebody got shot and killed, which is whomever is in charge of the props fault, not the actor. Alec would have no blame if he wasn't a executive producer. You're trying to make it worse because he's a Democrat, which has nothing to do with the situation on this movie set.

If they wanted alec dead shouldn't they have put the live round in a gun that fires at him and not his own gun? Or were they hoping he'd shoot himself with his own weapon? Seems less likely than what happened.
