5ºIf I understand this....Johnson has a plan to vote on separate bills that provide assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and some allies in the Indo-Pacific, despite growing criticism from Republicans for abandoning prior demands to tie Ukraine funding to border provisions. The four bills related to hyped-up foreign threats are being considered under one procedural "rule," while the border bill will be considered under its own...or in other words...will be set up to fail. Johnson remains committed to bringing the bills to the floor, even if that triggers his removal, but to the average American, the border is more important, while many believe Ukraine and Israel should not get any funding at all, and we should take care of our country first, like the border problem.

Dissent, not dysfunction
Yet again, we see an example of why the House Democrats are able to consistently present a functioning, cohesive caucus. Even when there are sharp disagreements within that caucus.
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was not happy with the campaign Tom Suozzi ran to fill the seat vacated by George Santos. She was upset that Suozzi supported tighter border restrictions. But, Ocasio-Cortes made a point of saying that, even so, she and Suozzi were on the same team.
Compare that to the dog’s breakfast otherwise known as the House Republicans, and specifically, the Freedom Caucus. Time and time again, the firebrands of the far right have been willing to choose drama over legislative leadership. The most recent example being Marjorie Taylor Greene calling for the removal of Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House.
7ºWhy are we still supplying weapons to Israel when a special state department panel told the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that the U.S. should restrict arms sales to Israeli military units that have been credibly accused of human rights abuses particularly in the West Bank even before Oct 7th? We have supplied more than 70,000 munitions to Israel since the 1950s. Even though Israel has a long history of committing crimes against humanity. A UN special rapporteur said Israel is committing genocide, along with other prominent figure and the ICJ said it’s plausible that Israel is committing acts of genocide. Now we have Netanyahu who approved $5 billion to settle in Gaza!! To settle on the dead babies they slaughtered.. it’s pretty f k n. Obvious this had nothing to do with Hamas. I mean it was even obvious when Netanyahu presented his “New Middle East” map in front of the UN assembly back in Sept ‘23 erasing all reference of Palestine.. our leaders are criminals, they are co conspirators and need to be stopped.
