1ºPandering to criminals is wrong.. Cops have a tough enough job as it is.. Now if you watch the video the man was not in the custody of police for the man was attempting to get away and resisting arrest as I see it.. What can a cop or anyone really do in such a case and seems no matter what you do as a officer you are in trouble.. The logic seems behind these lawsuits is to just let criminals get away of what seems more like a cartel deal of you let my people alone or we sue you.. Really a man thqat is strugling to be free how is anyone going to stop that and how do you propose a cop do such.. Tranqulizer,, a new type of straight jacket and what else and all still does not solve a problem when those are like this.. I really get tired of these things,, Now some cops can go past such levels when a person never resisted at all and that is wrong.. But when you resist even under such drugs or whatever, the cops need to use reasonable force to control a person the best they can do considering all.. But I guess its a dang if you do and dang if you do not.. They could follow him till he drops or passes out or dies from his drugs and then the cops be held and charged for neglect , the cops could follow and wait for medical and do nothing except watch what he does and follows him. But really will the medics be sued when they try to control him and such.. What is the line in these cases ? The cops seemed to be doing their best considering all considering their job and duties.. I guess unless it is a public danger cops can follow the man till the medics arrive and animal control officers team arrives for such cases to control the animal somehow with enough people.. But we still have the violent crooks and such , do we wait and follow the violent person also.. With todays tech we could probably have cops film and call a medical team and control team and let the attorneys fight them.. But at what point can a officer use control of a person,, will the cops need the medic and control team at a store robbery, or what about when someones live is in danger. What about the crook who does not want arrested,, do they need to call the animal control agency that handles people for people control a specialized swat team.. Will they get sued for doing their job or charged.. There some that go past what they can do and do so knowingly they are doing wrong.. As I see it if a cop comes and just follows and the man dies will the cops be held liable.. I think all lawmakers need to come up with something of fair play and when a officer reacts to such things where he is and will not be held liable.. Like he started to resist and we just followed him and called for a special team and medics,, The cops can arrest him later or when the medics and control people have him controled or such.. This way as in this case the man was messed up somewhat or whatever, and do to him starting to resist police, the call is made to medics and special medics control team not cops , and if the person dies oh well the officer(s) then did reasonable efforts.. and is not liable for damages or wrongs commited and such.. So this then would have the criminal being charged with resisting arrest and also charged with fleeing a officer and such along with charges and fines and them paying for the speacialized team and medics and such.. The cop would not be held for any failures or what happens for not detaining , arresting or such of any person is such or acts like such including if that person harms anouther person while is such state.. So basicaly just follow and watch till a specialized team arrives and let them hold the bag if the person dies and such,, and really what if the person harms others along the way in such a state,, should the cops interfere or wait for such help from medics and specialized team.. When can you use a tranquilizer,, stun gun, and such..--- officer to base,, we are following said person whom is resisting us, when is the medics and specialized team going to be here,, 10 minutes,, oh gees control he just punched someone out and we are still following him,, please send more help asap,, dowen to one officer or oh well we have the person heading in x direction while we provide aid to a victem.. Ops oh well .. Really the lawmakers need to look at many things and yes all the what ifs and such.. Otherwise why be a cop and even when your doing your best.
