Nancy Stern Seriously, you should stop. It is at best a minimum wage job with almost no benefits or any union affiliations. Hotel workers in Vegas are unionized. Bank tellers have company benefits through the roof and aren’t paid minimum wage.

Gas prices are high based on two refineries that closed under Trump and no new ones have been built. The average age in America of a refinery is over 75 years old. It’s called obsolescence.

Richmond refinery in CA is over 100 years old and produces most of the gasoline on the West Coast. El Segundo is the second oldest. The fact is, it’s a gas station, not a refinery.

Like I said, Valoline hires convinced felons. The majority of them are white. They have the same problem as Sheetz. They don’t hire enough African American or indigenous people that were incarcerated which is against the law. This isn’t new. White people get a second chance at starting over. Others don’t. The employment game is rigged in the favor of white people. You can get over something you don’t know anything about, because you are the one deflecting in favor of white people.

Some states are allowing migrants to obtain drivers license , and that will be the only ID required at the voting booth . Democrats are working on other path ways to voter registration. Democrats know that they will no longer falsely count ballets in favor of the democratic party .

Nancy Stern Are you actually trying to compare a bank teller job and casino cashier job to working in a gas station convenience store? Bank tellers, casino cashier, lock smiths, etc. are jobs that require a person to be bonded. Working in a gas station doesn’t require a person be bonded. They are minimum wage employees who sell gas and potato chips.

You white people flex in all types of directions and pretend that only you know what an employer is allowed to do when you know Title VII has been violated under the law.

Weird flex, chick, but ok. The company is looking into itself and basically doesn’t like its own hiring record on this subject.

As part of the hiring process, applicants must answer questions about their criminal justice history and go through a background check through a third-party vendor. Those who fail the screening do not get hired.

About 14.5% of Black applicants failed the screening, while less than 8% of White applicants failed, according to the lawsuit. Native Americans and multiracial applicants failed at a rate of about 13%.
