New US military aid package to Ukraine expected to be worth around $1 billion

In briefings to Congress in recent weeks, administration officials have indicated that the US will likely send Ukraine long-range ATACMS, or Army Tactical Missile Systems, for the first time as part of the new aid package, sources say.

Kendra Espinal Would you rather we had soldiers there? That's what will happen if we ignore Putin. Since when were you you on the side of tyranny? Putin isn't going to stop with Ukraine. What happens when he invades a NATO country? You think the billions we're spending now is a lot? It's nothing compared to an all out war with Russia. Trump, being Putin's lackey, would pull us out of NATO and hand over all those old Soviet countries to Putin. Is that really making America great again? You need to put a bit more thought into what you really want.

Anti-west is becoming more resolved and greater, increasing in numbers.
Two decades ago it won't be imagined that the will be this magnitude and scale of war in Europe's territory.
It shows that Anti-west is now an ideology. We thought war was just Afghanistan, hunting Osama Bin laden and the middle east.
Now one of Europe's own(Russia) has turned against it.The Enemy within is most potent, vise versa for both the West and Russia..,sadly.
If mediation and peace talks are not initiated forthwith..,then wreckage, destruction will be on everyone's soil and backyard. We see these in Africa. The West should learn from experience..
Goodluck to everyone..

Pablo Duran yes when I lived in San Francisco I managed a furniture store in Oakland.
I saw a man digging through garbage cans and asked what he was doing.
He replied he was looking for cans .
I told him to come to my store at the end of the block once a week and I would give him all the cans and bottles I used during the week.
After a year or so another man came to my store to get the cans and bottles. I asked what happened to the guy I was giving them to.
He said that his family came to get him off the street.
So I started giving what I collected to this new guy.
After about 6 months a man dressed in a 3 piece suit walked into the store. He walked up to me wanting to shake my hand, stating he wanted to thank me for helping him stay alive.

-Ukrainians believe $61bn US aid won’t stop Russia
The Biden administration ran out of funding for Ukraine aid after burning through $113 billion in previously approved spending bills.
American taxpayer paying Biden wars it Iraq, in Afghanistan and in Ukraine. Now Israel,
Last month, Biden unveiled a $7.3-trillion budget plan for 2025 which would push US debt over 100% of GDP, as he laid out a fiscal agenda that boosts spending but plans to save $3 trillion through higher taxes over ten years.
The US federal budget deficit jumped from $1.4 trillion in fiscal 2022 to $1.7 trillion last year,

This administration is a disgrace. None of our tax money is being spent here in America. It’s all being spent, and Ukraine or Israel or someplace like that. It would be wise just sit out for a little bit and let other countries pick up the slack. We don’t owe Ukraine anything. And I remember two years ago when everybody was saying Ukraine was winning. Well now if they haven’t beaten Russia, by now, just face it they’re not going to! The only way to end this war is for both countries to sit down at the negotiation table. Because the longer this war drags on the more lives are going to be lost. And I believe Ukraine will run out of people before Russia will.

Im glad this finally happened...though Ukraine is not a member of NATO, most countries in Europe and thus in NATO recognize the risk to themselves if the invasion of Ukraine is not rebuffed. We have a vested interest in seeing that this fight doesn't get to NATO, where we would be required to send troops. Sending military equipment to Ukraine saves our soldiers from being in harm's way in addition to being the right thing to do.

I would like to note that IME the people who say we should help our homeless, veterans, health care, and infrastructure first tend to be the same people who regularly vote against our government helping in any of those areas. #IAmHereUS
