That's how this country progressed so far so quickly. We have the same negative sentiments here lately, but mostly from people who are not successful and need a scapegoat. Most studies shows immigrants drive company startups disproportionately including high tech, drive business, innovation and therefore hiring. Mostly the ambitious migrate! Irony is we need more labor everywhere, specially in service positions, and that's where immigrants typically start and/or higher education! History is also clear with most western countries literally looting emerging countries for decades, and that's how they became what they are today...most of all UK! But those times are over.
