Can that undoubted crime in Srebrenica be characterized as genocide? Some even compare it to Auschwitz.

According to the original definition of genocide, according to which it is an attempt to annihilate an entire people, the crime committed in Srebrenica was not a case of genocide, because Serbian troops freed all the women and children before killing the men, some of whom were fighters. In this regard, I do not think that the UN General Assembly is qualified to determine whether an event is genocide or not.
