Zero reflection going on as to why Republicans lose so many elections with such a dismal opposition. Just this endless deflection. We all know it's not cheating. Not 2020 and 2022 (red wave time FGS!), 2023 and this year too. No one can claim that, who's not insane

I'm conservative. My credentials, I'm against solving social problems with large dollops of cash from the pockets of tax payers, the Democrats have done a terrible job on the border, I'm in favour of the death penalty for irremediable villains. And I ask this question.

3ºJohnny Rickets AGAIN, I wouldn’t allow my children to be in a classroom with an armed teacher. Period. I’ve witnessed and I hear about what goes on in schools. My child teaches at high school level! The “I felt threatened” excuse is one of many reasons I wouldn’t allow it. Whether you want to accept it or not, people still “feel threatened” based off appearance & that doesn’t sit well with me. I am not trying to persuade anyone to do what I would do. You can do what you feel is best for yours and I will do what I feel is best for mine. And just in case you didn’t understand what I said in the message BEFORE this one, here ya go… my children are grown and one is always packin so good luck!

It's not the teacher's "job". It's also not being forced onto any teacher. It's merely opening up the possibility and allowing the option IF said teacher chooses to participate. Several armed teachers will always be more effective that security that cannot be everywhere at once. This is why regular people carry guns, because police cannot be everywhere at once.

I'm not a cook or a groundskeeper or a mechanic by profession, but I find myself doing all of those things on a weekly basis at home. It would be silly to exclude my ability to be effective in those areas of my life simply because it's officially not my profession. You're being irrational. Perhaps you'd benefit from acknowledging that, even if you cannot overcome it.

5ºStephanie Campbell I will say that my brain is in full function and the slight kiss, was unnecessary. Use capital letters when starting a sentence; that's 1st grade knowledge . There are levels to securing schools. Administrators, teachers, and staff members should be alert at all times. Security guards manning grounds and doors should be locked with exit only capabilities. No door propped open, ever! SROs watching cameras in real time, alert authorities of trespassers. This is how it's done in my community where I taught, but we pay for what we want. We've not had mass shootings and potential disruptions were foiled.

The sword was necessary for him to demonstrate that love as it is written. Look at what Jesus said and did after the sword was used.

7ºAndy Bearden lol. Those teachers in Ulvade didn't have heat. Wanna lesson? In my home Ohio teachers have been legally allowed to carry into classroom for years.

Despite Ohio having more major cities than any other state in the Midwest we've only had one school shooting and it was some small school in some small town that most Ohioans don't even know exist.

So that in itself proves obviously the deterent is working. People think twice about drawing their gun when they aren't sure who around them will be shooting back. That's why most mass shootings happen in gun free zones where criminals know they'll have the better odds because the common law abiding citizen can't carry there and police are far and few apart to respond quickly.

8ºSo why they don't say look the police can't protect your kids but we willing to give staff and teachers guns? Because all I see is gun sales all I see is lobbyist running around and gun Manufacturing companies contributing money to Republicans campaigns but at the end of the day if something happened because of the rules and policies they want to pass they're going to blame someone when they are the ones to blame they cant protect our children and when they try to put some some kind of laws behind guns Republicans attack look they're trying to take your guns to be honest I don't know if people are so simple but sometimes I think they are

Do you have a problem if teachers have a CPL and carry a gun in the grocery store while grocery shopping? What is the happen to walk near your child in the grocery store - is that a problem?

My father taught high school science his entire career. He's also a CPL holder. It's silly that your irrational fear tells you to fear him carrying in a school as a means to protect your child, but you are likely fine with him carrying outside of a school even if near your child. It's especially irrational when you know, understand, and accept the fact that your own child carries a firearm for protection. lol

10º Marie ok so assuming they have a gun who do you think the kid will shot first? Another kid or the person they know has the gun? If I were in a store or a bar or anywhere really and I was going to do harm the first one I’d shoot is the one that is the biggest threat. People walk in store with open carry, if I wanted their gun I could just take it. There might be a struggle but I could get the gun and shoot them with it.
So now the police would be walking around the school but their presence would deter students from doing anything. And they’d get to know the kids. What a better influence.
