1ºLaura Canavan A first practical solution now is a ceasefire. That, clearly at this point, won't lead to anybody's death and will save lives from both sides.
I don't accept that both just want to annihilate the other. Many sadly do. Maybe, even the majority because both sides are still fueled by revenge, but many also don't. When we want a solution we bank on those.
I have seen many testimonies from both sides where people lost their loved ones but recognize that revenge wont bring their loved ones back and will lead to more death and destruction. You just need them to be Leaders. The American young Jewish population that supports Palestine may help a lot with producing that type of leaders, I think and fighting the Israeli propaganda.
The PLO already accepts the two state solutions and only calls for the application of international laws.
So, If the US shielding of Israel stops, Israel and its leaders will then face consequences for their illegal actions and ll need to stop. That will automatically lead to the end of the occupation and oppression of the Palestinians. When people find themselves really free (and the Palestinians were not for more than a 100 years) and when they realize that this is their chance for peace after so many years, they may both concede then that it is their best bet to live good lives.
Many countries and people in history fought for years but after years of death they produced the leaders that led to peace and some even became allies.
Nelson Mandela is maybe the best example of the type of leaders we need. Fun fact, he was labeled as a terrorist by the US until 2008 , even though he led SA to peace. He was awarded the Nobel peace prize in 93 and was SA's first president in 1994.
So even from those labeled as "terrorists" (on both sides), peace leaders can emerge.
Not easy for sure, but still possible and hopefully that will happen sooner than later.

I don't claim to have the answer, but here is my humble opinion:
First of all, I don't think that a stop to this war of revenge will lead to an Israeli genocide. Israel's military power is much more potent compared to any Palestinian force. They were just taken by surprise on October 7 and ignored multiple warnings from inside and outside Israel. They won't in the future. However, as long as the Palestinian people are left in what many humanitarians qualify as a concentration camp in Gaza, as long as they don't have any will as people and continue to see their loved ones killed constantly (before and after OCT 7), cycles of violence will continue, no doubt.
If you want to solve any problems, find the root cause and eliminate it. So the solution is: End the occupation, Stop the illegal settlements, End the apartheid, give the Palestinians their human rights, and their right to self-determination. The only solution that both sides can agree on is a two-state solution on the legal borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. That is what all countries in the UNSC voted for and agreed to, but the US vetoed it last week.
Sadly, Israel, which has the power, refuses to let that happen, and the US always backs it up, no matter how atrocious what it's doing.
The only way this will change is if Israel, who has the power, gets leaders who genuinely want peace (Yitzhak Rabin, for instance, but sadly he was assassinated by an Israeli extremist), and I believe with social media, over time, enough Israelis may learn more about the Palestinian cause. They will unlearn a lot of Zionist propaganda and the truth about how Israel was founded and may seek to make things right between the two people. I am hopeful also that today's "kids" will know the truth and will stop this "unconditional" support for Israel. That will certainly speed things up.
In an ideal world, they would share the land from the river to the sea like they did before the Zionists wanted a state for their own, where they can have the majority, in a land where another majority already lived. But that boat has most likely sailed...

3ºBrandon Pope No. They aren't. For one, you should take a look at what the Ukrainian aid is as a total percentage of the federal budget (or even the DoD budget). Secondly, the vast majority of the aid comes in the form of lend-lease. We are talking about obsolete weapons systems for the most part - sitting idle in warehouses waiting to be replaced. It cost more to dispose of them than to ship them to Ukraine. Lastly, if you're seeking to find waste in the budget, I suggest you start with the $1T per year tax cuts we passed in 2017 for millionaires and billionaires that we were assured would be revenue neutral. Spoiler Alert: They weren't.

The economy is thriving, folks have jobs….
Finally justice is dealing with and exposing the real threat….. women soon will have their rights back…..

If anyone thinks that life is bad in the US…..believe this…. It could be a lot worse…. Our homeless will eat, and have a box…. Not so in many places…. It can get better at least …. If democracy survives…. The rest is up to you… when people see how bad it could be…. It’s humbling and we all should have compassionate thankfulness……

5ºWell they successfully passed a law to ban tiktok which has been a very diverse source of information during election year of all years while also taking millions of Americans source of income. Icing on the cake more money to fund a genocide, a war and for some reason to help Taiwan which has a very strong economy. Plenty of problems to fix in America and this is what both democrats and republican in the house and senate can easily agree on. What would Trump have done (as president) if Putin decided to invade Ukraine? Said "Don’t do it”, and Putin’s answer would have been "Ok, I’ll wait another four years”? I doubt, because maybe during that time Ukraine would have been welcomed as a NATO member. That’s something Putin didn’t want to happen.
Btw. January 6 wasn’t just a protest, but an attack as well, and if the veteran was honorable, she would have stayed outside the Capitol.
