Why this campus turmoil story is so complex | CNN Business

The nuance and history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict remains difficult to capture succinctly, particularly during escalating turmoil among groups with deep-held — and entrenched — views on the issue.

It is not so difficult: one so-called race tries to eliminate an other but more legitimacy settled race like English tried to eliminate “Indians” named Sioux, Apache, Chinook and more and then call the territory Israel like the English called them New York, (at best they resounded “Indian” names like Manna Hatta).
So people with no land thought to duplicate that tactic at the expense of the original population.

And the English (plus those who called themselves Americans meanwhile) thought it would be profitable to their interests in oil e.g. to land the people with no land in the Middle East as a buffer between Sunni Arabs and Shia others.

Charles Swartout Medical studies have shown a higher rate of mental disorders in the Jewish population than the rates in a similar group dynamic in the general population of a particular region. *Low education was a risk factor for all categories of disorders.
Some of the effects of these mental disorders are evidenced in low self-esteem, self-hatred, persecution/victim complexes, paranoia, obsessive compulsive acts, projection, and depression. *Attention-seeking behavior can also be associated with causes including poor self-esteem, narcissism, and loneliness. In some individuals the symptoms of mental disorder(s) are masked with acts of an abusive nature against others or even self-abuse. Often denial is the tool used to bury these complex personal issues.
From observation, you may be suffering from a mental disorder(s). Admitting to and seeking help with your mental disorder(s) is no longer the stigma once experienced. Taking that first step to seek help will put you on the road to recovery and better mental health and make you a more productive member of your community !

Kirk McLendon boy, stop showing your stupidity, Palestine is older than Judaism and Moses. Read your fiction books and you will find the name Palestine. Where was Israel boy? No fk trace for Israel .

An acclaimed Israeli archaeologist, Herzog is the Director of the Institute of Archaeology at Tel Aviv University. He suggests that the biblical history of the Jewish people is probably fiction. Writing in Ha’aretz, in 1999, he claimed that the Exodus from Egypt never happened, the Ten Commandments were not given on Mount Sinai. He also claimed Joshua never conquered the land of Israel, if there was a King David, he probably was no more than a tribal chieftain, as was King Solomon.

Rabiu Sahadu Alhassan what do you want to see? What do you want to do? Do you know what has come to other parts of the world? People like you. And why aren’t you treated like animals? Because the Jewish people were. They came before you, covered heads, own language, own traditions and the world didn’t like it. They hated they kept their identity. Now people come from your region with different traditions, strong smells, covered heads and no one tries to hurt them. Your cousins are safe because someone paid the price. But you have never stopped to think why you are just another poisoned man, and your family for sure is already poisoned by your words. Que asco!

Etty Furspan Did Israel fund Hamas as a proxy army to defend them against another one they feared more. I think we did that, too. How did that work out? Even if they did not once hire Hamas, God must have gotten very patient with the Jews after Jesus died for us, because their socially-liberal abortion and other abomination politics would have gotten them banished of occupied by now for 70 to hundreds of years. We in the West probably should have for the same, though woe to those by whom it would happen, because no civilization has any right to forcibly overtake another—well, maybe if atrocities are happening there, but they are happening in Nigeria and we are not concerned about bringing “democracy” to them. What our leadership says is why we fight usually isn’t.

I love my country, but it has strayed far from how it’s designed. It has the blueprints for it, as does Israel, to right itself in writing and with imploring God’s grace to do it right.

Hamas is The Palestinian militant group committed to violently resisting Israel. In October 2023, Hamas infiltrated southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and taking dozens more hostage. Hamas was founded by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, a Palestinian cleric who became an activist in local branches of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is an Islamist militant movement and one of the Palestinian territories’ two major political parties. It governs more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, but the group is best known for its armed resistance to Israel. Hamas has been using Palestinians as human shields in conflicts with Israel since 2007.

Jill Stein ️
US presidential candidate Jill Stein said students are being “brutalised” at pro-Palestine protests in universities across the country by American police officers who are trained in crowd control techniques by the Israeli military, in an act she says is an “assault on democracy”.

Speaking outside Columbia University, she praised students for protesting and “standing up” for all Americans and their right to free speech. She said students are defending “our right to protest this genocide that is being committed in our name”.

Stein criticised Israel’s war on Gaza and the US’ unconditional military funding to Israel. “We must support the right of the Palestinian people to freedom, justice and dignity,” she said, reiterating the findings of the International Court of Justice that there is a plausible case for genocide in Gaza.

Ayyaz Sheikh can you explain the incessant attacks on christians and jews by them for over 200 years now? VERY well documented, They never stopped, If memory serves me right, that is why England wanted out of there , That is why Jordan and Egypt threw them out also. Israel allowed them to work inside of Israel, allowed them university and major medical treatments that could not be done in Gaza and provided them with free water and electric and they still had to attack them non stop.. 200 years of it, Even inside of gaza, they threatened members of our catholic church there, to convert to muslim or be killed, The church went from over 5 thousand members to less than 500 because of that. They skinned a man , who survived, because he said he wanted to return to judaism, Do you think that is peaceful people? We were building a dock to bring them food and medical supplies and they attacked it, Where is the sense in that?

People did not end slavery without breaking the law. People did not get civil rights without a protest. Protesting is the fundamental right of a citizen.

Is criticism of Israeli genocide antisemitic? Is criticism of illegal settlements antisemitic? Is criticism of Israeli checkpoints antisemitic? Even Nelson Mandela was once accused of terrorism and sentenced to 26 years in jail. Terrorism is not an excuse to continue occupation and apartheid indefinitely.

Israel commits all kinds of war crimes and hide behind the shroud of antisemitism or holocaust. I hope good sense prevails and they end the occupation. How long can the Palestinians live without the basic dignity of representation and protection of a state that the rest of the 99.99% of the world enjoys.

10ºIt's not complex. The intellectual rot happening at colleges and elite universities have allowed these spoiled brats of students to be indoctrinated to support Hamas, and other terrorists organizations. These are not pro Palestinian protests. Call it for what it is, pro Hamas rallies. They spew antisemitic rhetoric and they do not and will not condemn Hamas. They call for the end of genocide supposedly taking place but call for the genocide of Jews and Israelis when they chant from the river to the sea Palestine will be free. They call for a cease fire but don't know, realize, or care that at the beginning of the October 7th attack, the leader of Hamas said that they will do it again and again and again. His own words.
