2ºI'm fighting stage 4 lung cancer for almost 5 years. It's been the hardest time of my life. I lost my spouse to cancer, the same day I was in a car accident. They ended up taking me to the ER, and ran 15 test. The ER doctor stated, he saw like a tumor in my lung, and to get this confirmed. I did get a biopsy done, and it was confirmed lung cancer. I also lost my job during this time, and a year before been diagnosed, I was homeless. Last year I ended up with Brain necrosis for having one round of radiation to my Brain. They stated, there is a small tumor, and with one round of radiation, I'll be fine. well, 6 months later, I ended up with Brain necrosis. I'm now unable to drive, can't see well. can't hear well, and can not walk with out a walker. I walk very unstable. My Brain ended up swelling, shifted to one side, edema, and full of necrosis. They wanted to do Brain surgery but said, the steroids might help with the Brain swelling. I'm so happy I waited, because the steroids did help, and it was confirmed by 3 neurosurgeons, I didn't need the Brain surgery. Three weeks ago, I was clear from having Brain cancer but I still have lung cancer. Everyday I live in fear, and I'm so scared. The unknown is the hardest to live with. My heart is so happy he won.. he will be now receiving the best treatment... I hope, and pray he becomes NED.. and the same for me... I wanted spread awareness about Brain necrosis.. as I got it 6 months after one round of radiation. I've been through a lot but I pray a lot.. I talk to God, and ask him to please, take away my cancer. I hope I'm as lucky as this person, as I also want to look at other options, and get the best medical help out there for cancer.
