3ºIntriguing how a normal body process like perimenopause seems to cause disease or imbalance. Why is it never the way society treats you, and the unrealistic expectations put on people at job, modern life in general, and rigid schedules that do not accommodate the changes in the body. Like you need more sleep in short intervals, you have bursts of energy but it does not sustain always, takes longer to recover from being tired, nutritional needs change as well. Yet no one accommodates that do they. No place to take a short nap 15 minutes, no place to destress as a hormone surge hits--tough it out you get irritable.
4ºWho the f is laughing at this?! Depression is caused by imbalanced hormones, and when women go through perimenopause, guess what happens??? Ya, their hormones are out of wack. It not only causes depression, either. There's hot flashes, funky periods, feet and hand pain (which I am going through now and feels like I am walking on sharp rocks when I get up in the mornings, and when I get up from sitting even for 5 minutes...and hand numbness and tingling when I hold things in my right hand), and a whole slew of other crap. And men go through their own crap, during their time, too. So to those who laugh: your time is coming! And I guarantee you won't be laughing then!
