Darrin Ward There is no middle class after Trump. We already are indentured servants to this country when only we pay taxes and the muti rich pay nothing. We must support our roads, hospitals , police, fireman for them yet they use the sevices. Corporations are using us to enrich themselves with increasing prices and giving themseves millions in bonuses. And they pay off senators to vote to protect them. And weve got a man running for presidency saying he'll bring communism to our shores. One rich class and one of poor indentured servants. To do work for little pay or none at all since were are nothing. If you knew your history, thats exactly how Cuba was taken over. Castro got the rich to support him. He promised everything everyone wanted. Yet when in power, he took it all. And now look at the island. And the sad things, we have Americans pushing communism. Wanting it and its part of the republicans party pushing it. We got cubans pushing for it instead of returning back to Cuba or Russia.

Brian McDonough I didn’t lost that argument. You posted a G7 article that has no analysis of anything. I am an economist.. you are not. The difference between us is i know what i am talking about.. and you like even the homeless got an opinion about the economy but are clueless, misguided and manipulated.

The US has never been at “full employmen” No country in history has ever been full employed… in fact the workforce which is the base to calculate the unemployment rate was reduced after the Pandemic by MILLIONS of people.. which means that todays 3% of Biden would’ve been a 5% under Trump since more people was working then.

The GDP in the USA has been the highest of every country every year since the last 6 decades.. we have been the number one economy in the world. Nor Biden nor Trump nor other one in recent decades has anything to do here.

What currencies? The Mexican Peso NO for example.. we have lost some power against them in the last year.. it depends which currency.. if others countries wouldn’t use the dollar as reference currency to trade and make all sorts of transactions we wouldn’t be able to “pass” inflation to other countries as we do.. and we would be in a bigger problem since our economy hasn’t been handled properly. This administration has printed TRILLIONS year after year.. and then your narrative (since you don’t understand how inflation is created) is to blame Corporations ????.. typical socialist mentality from any marxist book!

Tom Campbell
So then why is it this seemly only ever happens in the U.S.? Like every other developed western nation, and plenty of eastern ones too, all have the ability to provide for their citizens when they’re in need of social assistance. Why are you so vehemently against things like universal healthcare?

And don’t say it’s because it’s not the government’s job. If the government doesn’t not exist to serve the people, then why should they even be allowed to exist? Do you take pride in knowing that your taxes goes to corporate bailouts and foreign weapons deals instead? Because that’s 100% taxation without representation.

Matt Fitz yes, but its not why you think. A good chunk of it started at Bush.

Basically all the investors are buying up lower priced homes as investment property. Mostly due to Obama deregulating to recover the market after Bush deregulated and tanked the economy. Nobody ever put the brakes back on, and when profits dried up from the supply chain back-log, investors went looking elsewhere, and found fertile ground for fleecing america out of home ownership, mostly to pay for pensions of school teachers, which is why Biden isnt mentioning it. And realestate mogul Trump - good luck getting market control out of that guy.

Trying to be "God" and in control of everything in your life is how you limit yourself from reaching your full potential and receiving all that God has for you. Understand that when you are called and chosen at the same time, there’s a season or seasons in time when you have to learn how to surrender to God's will and let go of the will you have planned for yourself, which isn’t God's will for you. It is your responsibility to become aware of that time, which is now for many of you. So, stop forcing what isn't. Stop running from what is. Stop ignoring the truth, as if living in denial is better and easier for you. God's plan for your life brings you stability, unlike your own will.

Your will will bring you what you want without teaching you how to maintain it. God's will gives you what you need and more while teaching you the secret to how you maintain everything.

Dave Harding 350k deaths in a single year and over a million since is nothing, I guess. Obama literally left him with a plan to deal with infectious disease and Trump didn't use it. He even dismantled it and fired all the scientists who were part of the plan and bragged that he was saving us money. After that, Trump called it a democratic hoax for over six months and did NOTHING while bodies were kept in freezing trucks. I live 5 mins from one of the hospitals with the trucks outside and I have multiple family members and friends who died because of his ineptitude. I don't understand people who are just so eager for this indecent man to get on all fours for Putin again.

Question for the anti capitalism people - mechanically, how would one redistribute existing housing or mechanically align interests to create new housing in an alternate system?

Ripping on “crapitalism” may let off steam, but how would you actually change things in a place like San Diego to lower housing costs?

For the record, I think capitalism works, and would recommend to San Diego that they:

- Eliminate single family zoning rules.
- Eliminate many tenant protections including rent control (counter intuitively, this allows developers to buy dilapidated buildings, evict, tear down, and build more and better new housing. This is how supply is created - tenant protections make this process way longer and harder). Can’t knock down a single family home and build a 25 unit tower if you can’t move the tenant out.
- reduce permitting time. Government can veto permit in 45 days, or the permit is automatically improved. Not the reverse.

San Diego actually made a big step forward in allowing adu construction. Check out how rents are not climbing nearly as fast.

That's because all the investments group are buying up everything they can and renting them out and controlling the rental market we wierd fire that take out whole zip codes and burning everything and the day after the fire there signs everywhere saying will buy your lot happened here where I live in Alameda it helped me in Paradise it happened in Weed California and that happened in Hawaii Hawaii so this is a thing of the future this is not just a strange event this is going to happen over and over they are not fighting these fires they're letting these towns burn out and burn all the lower class you know low income people out and then they get their land look at how much rent is in Hawaii now I saw a thing where a guy was painting 1,200 before the fire now it's 3,900 for half the house

10ºHenry Morgan no that’s not why we are paying $3.50/gal avg now.

Trump made a deal with OPEC countries to flood the market in 2019. That cause the oil prices across the GLOBE to drop plus the pandemic which followed. As a result of foreign oil dropping prices to crazy lows American refineries started going out of business. So to try and fix it he made another weapons deal with them to stop production which started prices going back up before the election.

High oil prices now are a result of the cuts OPEC made based on Trumps deal which he didn’t follow through on and not to mention gas was averaging around $3ish before he had the market flooded with foreign oil.

Since oil is a GLOBAL commodity and is traded on a global market US produced oil doesn’t drive the prices in the US.
