1ºSarah Carlisle between the Kelvin timeline and whatever timeline Discovery was in the 23rd century, paramount has made a big mess of it. They keep wanting to retell old stories from new angles, but I think most sci fi nerds would rather they leave original story lines alone and just build the universe around it, which was done well with TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise. Picard is the only true timeline continuation in all these new series. If they want to go back to the 23rd century, just do an Excelsior series with Sulu’s daughter or Takei himself since he’s still got his engines running.

4ºTony Nannzlnl Not confusing exactly, but sometimes contradicts itself, even when Lucas was still involved lol Some of the series taking place in between 2 of the 3 trilogies seem to be written to explain away some of those (like the reason why Obi-Wan told Luke that Vader killed Anakin is that Vader during their duel in the series says he killed Anakin). They still don't explain away Vader seeming to not how it was possible that Luke is his son (it wasn't confirmed to him, apparently, whether or not his child with Padme died when she did). And, yeah, it's explained in the prequels how C-3PO doesn't recognize Tatooine, the Skywalker name or Obi-Wan, but not how R2 doesn't seem to either (unless R2's memory was wiped at the same time)
