Canadian CEO says the United States shares blame for Iran plane crash

The CEO of Canadian food packaging company, who says one of his colleagues lost his wife and 11-year-old son when Iranian forces shot down a passenger jet last week, says he believes that the US was ultimately responsible for their deaths.

Seems in bad taste for him to make a political statement on behalf of his colleague in reference to the deaths of that person's family. If he were simply speaking on the event in general, or speaking about the death of his own family, I think that would be one thing, but to say, "These specific people died whom I know through somebody else, to whom they mean far more than they do to me, and I'm going to use that tragedy with which I'm loosely connected to criticize a political figure," is just ... gross. Seems to me to trivialize the grief of his colleague.
