Facts First: The reporter was right. The FDA issued a safety warning on April 24 that was headlined, "FDA cautions against use of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for COVID-19 outside of the hospital setting or a clinical trial due to risk of heart rhythm problems."

With precautions such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and testing, our communities will begin a gradual and safe transition to reopening. As this happens, President Trump and his economic team will not repeat the policy mistakes of past Administrations,” Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross writes for Fox Business.

The Trump Administration is “closely monitoring airline practices regarding refunds . . . Providing refunds is a long-standing practice when air travel has been disrupted on a large scale such as after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, Hurricane Katrina, and presidentially-declared natural disasters,” Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao writes in USA Today.

“It is outrageous to expect taxpayers to continue supporting an international body which acts as a lapdog for Beijing. If the WHO wants to change course and return to its original remit of serious global health protection, it can do so. If not, as Trump indicated in his letter to the body, the WHO should lose all U.S. funding,” the Washington Examiner editorial board writes.

People are morons. Most drugs have side effects. Obviously there is a risk reward in most drugs including hydroxychloroquine. It’s been used for various ailments for 70 years, if it was so dangerous it would not be allowed on the market. Whether it is has health benefits against this virus is to remain to be seen. There is pros and cons at this time. The hospitals have been using it since this pandemic and many health care workers were taking it prophylactic as the president is doing now!!! As far as the supply there is plenty and no need to panic!!!

Whether he is taking it or not, who cares? It’s his health. The FDA warned against taking it not because it’s any more risky then any other drug, but because it hasn’t been approved for this use. It’s been used to prevent malaria for as long as as can remember, haven taken it in the early 90s every day while deployed Haiti. Weren’t any problems I was aware of with the thousands of Soldiers taking it at that time. There is no way the presidents doctor would be okay with prescribing something if he thought there was more than a minute risk of horrible side effects. If something were to happen to the president due to such a prescription he would be toast.
