Poor soldier! He said out loud what many soldiers are saying to one another. Biden told us that the USA were not in Afghanistan to transform that country to look like ours… One generation normally last 25 years! The USA only stayed for 20 years in Afghanistan… they were short of 5 years before the old generation would have been replaced by the new one! The British empire did a better job in India. When the British left India to its people the people of India agreed to keep what they liked from the British and still kept many of their traditional values. Now look at India! It’s a power house now! The big problem in Afghanistan was that Pompeo and Trump went to negotiate with the Talibans instead of the Afghan government the USA had helped for over 20 years… Trump and Pompeo are responsible for this fiasco.. and that soldier should have kept his mouth shut…

Best line in the piece to trump: "President Trump, I was told by everyone to kiss the ring because of your following and power. I refuse," Scheller wrote on Facebook. "I hate how you divided the country. I don't need or want your help... tell your son to stop tweeting about me. Your whole family knows nothing about US or our sacrificies. I could never work with you," Scheller wrote in the same post. "I'd rather sit in jail and be released with a dishonorable than make compromises in my beliefs." I totally respect anyone who tells trump to shove it.

The fact that some of y’all are under this post talking about dishonorable discharge and jail time and questioning his sanity, is disgusting. You claim to love your service members, but once one of them steps out and criticizes something he feels like wasn’t handle properly, you throw them and their service to this country away. Whether there should be consequences for his actions are besides the point. Y’all aren’t upset abt him breaking COC, you’re upset with the fact that he criticized something you felt was handled perfectly. It’s disgusting and frightening to know that you people only care abt Service Members as long as they do what complies w what you want done.

I see a lot of people whom have never dawned more than a Wendy’s uniform spouting their opinions here. The very thing this man did and is now being significantly disciplined.

I understand the military. I know service members are considered “government property” and surrender certain rights, including their freedom of speech (both of which are a whole issue in themselves).

But who is more qualified to have an opinion and emotions on the matter than the very men and women who have been there doing the work? This guy served nearly 2 decades and fought and in multiple wars. He gets upset with how ended things, make a video out of uniform, and this is the consequence? I understand being disciplined, but this seems extreme. This doesn’t feel like justice.

The withdrawal was badly done -- yes, it's true. But it was always going to be. The Afghan military was always going to bail on their responsibilities. We knew that a decade ago. And the real problem with a puppet government is that they're only as good as the military that's keeping them in power. If Obama had pulled the troops out, it would have been a nightmare. If Trump had done it, it would have been a nightmare. Yes, Trump made it worse with his treaty with the Taliban, but it was never going to be good.

The only safe move, other than not invading in the first place, would have been to punt the whole thing four years down the road and let the next president take the heat for it.

Is the government following rules? Every body should followed the rules but it seems its apply for one group and not for the other. Not to long ago a man in uniform critiqued the President and he testify against him. See he wasn’t charge. Why not? I’m not saying he did the right thing but why you people critiqued his decision. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster. And if your not able to say it then your the problem. We have our own free will to say things the way they are. Don’t cover up transparency is what we need. And that we don’t have it. That’s why we had 13 casualties because the President and his advisers didn’t do the right thing or he didn’t followed the rules. That was a big mistake a very bad choice from the President. I will never applaud him on that horrible decision. Have a wonderful afternoon.

My favorite quote from the article:
In a Facebook post on September 25, Scheller said he didn't want or need help from former President Donald Trump, who was trying to weigh in on his behalf.
"President Trump, I was told by everyone to kiss the ring because of your following and power. I refuse," Scheller wrote on Facebook. "I hate how you divided the country. I don't need or want your help... tell your son to stop tweeting about me."
"Your whole family knows nothing about US or our sacrificies. I could never work with you," Scheller wrote in the same post. "I'd rather sit in jail and be released with a dishonorable than make compromises in my beliefs."

If he gets an other than honorable, or a general discharge...he will keep his benefits...then i would put a claim in with the VA for Mental issues...and based on what happened during his time in Afghanistan and the military...He will probably get 100%..based on how many dependents he has...he'll probably get close to 4k monthly....I don't feel sorry for him...He was wrong to do what he did.. Marined don't act like this...At least when I was in back in 89-02...I feel for his family...They did nothing....I just hope the Dodge Drafter doesn't try to use him as a poster child like he used the dumb LCPL lying saying he was the one that pulled the little girl over the fence in Afghanistan..while he is still in the Marine..And we know you don't do that...SMH..

Soo weird.. When Big Donnie botched getting out of Afghanistan nobody said a word.. When Biden finished the job he gets raked across the coals. Although Don already reduced the number of troops Soo severely that our troops were getting crushed! I'm sure the children, spouses and families of those troops brought home are grateful for having our heroes home in one piece. And stopping an endless war. I'm guessing if Biden increased the number of troops and didn't end the war that he would be ridiculed for that too.. Glad I'm not in the Dem or Rep party. I vote for who is right for the country. Not tribal politics. Biden has done some things wrong and so has Trump.

A Marine who posted videos criticizing the US military's handling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan plans to plead guilty to six charges later this week during a special court martial at Camp Lejeune, according to the Marine's attorney Tim Parlatore.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was charged with six counts, including "contempt towards officials," "disrespect toward superior commissioned officers," and "dereliction in the performance of duties," after videos of him criticizing military leaders about their handling of the withdrawal went viral .Just another GOP and Trump bootlicker as they wanted Biden impeached over what, getting out 124 thousand Americans and others in 3 weeks HELLO
