The FBI has confirmed that Jabbar is a U.S. citizen from Texas and a veteran of the United States Army.
Authorities say they are working to determine if Jabbar has any known affiliations with ISIS.
Jabbar joined the Army in 2007, serving on active duty in human resources and information technology and deploying to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, the service said. He transferred to the Army Reserve in 2015 and left in 2020 with the rank of staff sergeant.

You are an adult, medias do spin stories. 2nd as an adult you are responsible to research media events, to know factually what occured. The driver is a veteran who lives in Texas and has been going through financial struggles over a few years now. He took it upon himself to act unlawfully committed a domestic terrorist attack had bombs, and an ISIS flag. Highly doubtful he was ISIS and waited that long to commit such an act. Likely knew how to make bombs from his military training and simply kept an ISIS flag as a souvenir while serving. PTSD is a serious issue and my brother has it bad who served during Iraq War.
