1ºIf Trump had not blocked military aid during his first term, it might have helped deter Russia from invading Ukraine. The aid was crucial for Ukraine to build its military capabilities and defend itself effectively.
When Russia invaded in 2022, the U.S. resumed supplying military aid, enabling Ukraine to push Russian forces back and reclaim territories. However, Republicans repeatedly blocked further military aid, undermining Ukraine’s ability to sustain its defense. This obstruction was a grave strategic mistake, as it gave Russia time to regroup, strategize, and escalate conflicts, including potentially sparking tensions in the Middle East. By consistently blocking aid, some Republicans have acted against America’s interests and weakened its allies.
2ºCheryl Castle ‘rope for the taking’? and Americans wonder why us Europeans think you’re as thick as mud. The whole point of Russia’s invasion (started 2014) of Ukraine is Putins’s widely publicised strategy to recreate the old USSR. He won’t tackle Poland next as they are too strong. If sucessful in Ukraine, the Baltic nations are at risk - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, but the difference these are NATO members and that will pull in other nations to defend them. Russia’s GDP is smaller than Italy’s so it’s not got infinite funding and its economy is heading for stagflation - as is the USA
3ºAnd of course Trump won’t do a damn thing. What a weak, pathetic president we have. Xi, Putin and Kim Jung Un lined up next to each other, giving Trump a big slap in the face. Imagine the Maga heads exploding if Biden were president right now? NEVER has this happened to any other president in the past. The ultimate middle finger knowing he doesn’t do a damn thing. Real Americans don’t throw out the red carpet treatment to a Communist war criminal while applauding him as he steps foot on US soil, all while that war criminal bombs civilian areas DURING their meeting as the ultimate middle finger. Embarrassing
