Charlie Kirk, the conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was killed after being shot at an event at Utah Valley University. CNN spoke to eyewitnesses who described the scene.

I have made posts on many different forums for years asking people to set a better example for our younger generation on how we treat each other with political views.

I set up this particular FB page when I worked on the Trump campaign, so most of the people that I accepted as friends are not people personally known to me. I still use this page mainly for my political views.

I have purposely left my family out of this FB page as it was not long after expressing my views about things such as QAnon, Epstein, (which were reasonable and justifiable) I was called about every name in the book. I was also harassed, intimidated and threatened on messenger. I would immediately block and report those people but still concerned how people treated the same people on the same political spectrum with disrespect .

I was called ignorant, idiot, dumbass, a radical leftist, and a RINO.

These insults were mostly from Republicans even though I vote Republican.

The best way I determined to handle it was to ask people to try to refrain from juvenile behavior and express themselves in a more adult manner.

I have a lot of respect for Charlie Kirk as he set a good example in reference to how to treat each other who have different opinions.

I am so sad right now, and been shedding tears throughout the day after I heard about Charlie; I feel that not many young people can fill his shoes, as too many of the older generation have set such a bad example when it comes to disagreements.

R.I.P. Charlie Kirk. We love you.

Jolene Troyer Bilinski Let’s make sure to post the entire quote so it’s not taken out of context!

Charlie Kirk said (2023, TPUSA Faith event):

“Driving comes with a price—50,000 people die on the road every year. That’s a price. You get rid of driving, you’d have 50,000 fewer auto fatalities. But we have decided that the benefit of driving—speed, accessibility, mobility, having products, services—is worth the cost of 50,000 people dying on the road. You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won’t have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It’s drivel. But … I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe.”

On empathy (October 12, 2022, The Charlie Kirk Show):

“I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, New Age term that—it does a lot of damage. But it is very effective when it comes to politics. Sympathy—I prefer more than empathy.”

Research. I know you sheep don’t believe in facts.

Try doing some research.

Kirk made the remarks in April 2023 after a mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.

I will send my sympathy to those who lost their lives 24 years ago on 9/11

I thought America believed in free speech? Now I didn't believe in the vast majority of the things charlie said. But they were his opinions, and he happily debated anyone on those beliefs. He put himself out their in the open, and some coward who didn't believe in his opinions shot him. That person is an evil little coward, and the sick pricks who are laughing at this situation are also cowards. He was a young man with a young family. Imagine if it was your loved one. Say what you like about the man, have an opinion with the man, or you could have even had a debate with the man. It's just another sad day for your country.

It’s sickening seeing some of the comments the fact of the matter any one who is cheering over this tragedy is a disgrace to humanity. They are that in which is what’s wrong and evil in today’s society. It’s pathetic and disgusting that, you as a person can be joyful of the ass.nation of someone souly in the fact you just didn’t like their opinion. You, you are truly scum.
Two children and a wife lost a father and a husband today as it doesn’t matter what your political views are, Right or left Charlie Kirk was murdered for no other reason other than simple opposing opinions that he was whiling to stand unafraid and unapologetic debate any one on any subject.

He was/did win the argument, so this was their only option at this point. The people behind this and those celebrating are cowards too afraid to have a dissenting opinion near their own, bc they know theirs will not hold up.
People need to understand that it is Charlie Kirk today, but could it be you in the future? You views may align with those you are around now, but what if they change and you disagree? Could it get to a point that you fear speaking up/giving your opinions/beliefs could cost you your life? I hope this will open up more room for safe and respectful debate, but it is up to the people of this country.

Charlie is with Jesus now. Prayers for his family, friends, and especially wife who had such a deep love with him.

“All death can do to a believer is to deliver him to Jesus.”-Charlie Kirk

Zhurmon Cunningham You are delusional. It is this kind of thinking from conservatives that make any dialog impossible. How quickly you forget the political assinations in Minnesota by MAGA person. You don't know who the shooter is or his motive, but you instantly politicize it to be someone with left leaning political beliefs. It might be the case, but that in no way is a representation of an entire political party. You claiming it is is the problem you claim of the left. Also, there is no evidence to support your claim that democrats are out killing people. In general the opposite would be true. The Southern region of the US is by a vast majority conservatives, it is also a part of the country that has most crime to include murder.

I just heard the speakers on Abby Philips show say that the people that argue on TV are golf buddies off TV. How? How do you become friends with anyone that is your moral opposite? The rhetoric that you say on TV and the anger that goes back and forth helps promote hate in the people that watch. The people that are so sorry that this happened to Kirk are the same ones that said nothing about the MN killings or attacked "trans" for school shootings. You put people against each other. Kirk himself was guilty of going after certain people that did not believe as he did. People have freedom of thought as long as you agree with them. Trump NEVER mentioned the MN shootings! NEVER! Trump is promoting the hatred and the people on TV that spew lies (Scott Jennings) and rolls their eyes are as much to blame. The US has lost its empathy because Trump has none and we are hurting because of this!

10º"If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all of these things they will do to you for my name’s sake because they do not know Him who sent Me."
