2ºThere are generations of families who have and will continue to send their kids to camp. The camp is not opening there, but installing a memorial. This camp or another one was always going to be open/built, as this area is a desired camp area. A million angry faces isn't going to change this. Like most catastrophic events, something will take the place of what is gone & the hope is always that no life is ever forgotten and that every possible safety improvement is implemented. Was the world to shut down all summer camps "in case" another 1000 year storm happens? No. But, i do agree that everyone who has time and energy to push for any measure that can save lives at these camps absolutely push that. I think the biggest thing here is that "next summer" feels very soon, admittedly. But, when is it appropriate? There is no winning answer to that question to anyone who lost someone there.
