So now when police show up to a call of shots fired, how do they know who the good guy is and who who the bad guy is this happened a few years ago at one of the local police stations here in Maryland. A few guys decided to attack a police station. One of the officers who was just coming in to work (in street clothes) pulled out his gun to try and take down the attackers. When one the police officers came out of the building and saw a guy with a gun, he assumed he was one of the attackers and killed him only to find out that he was a cop and of course the cop who was shot was a black cop who was shot by a white cop by default the black and brown people will always be assumed to be the bad guy

Philip Louis the more lax gun laws are the easier it is to get guns. It is a pretty simple concept. As an example, people love to bring up Chicago with respect to guns. Ignore for a minute that Chicago is far from the worst city when it comes to guns, charities in states with lax gun laws tend to have to most gun deaths. They bring up Chicago because of its tough gun laws yet still has a lot of gun crime. When studies were done to find out where the guns came from, the overwhelming majority came for other areas and states with mush more lax gun laws that Chicago.
So yeah, lax laws makes it easier to get guns. Why is that a hard concept for you.

Jason Slo I personally have seen the difference in the way cops interact with me when conducting a traffic stop in recent years vs earlier. I used to always get out of my car and go talk to the officer at the back of my vehicle. But, in recent years, cops get all upset and agitated if you even begin to exit your car. They yell at you to stay in the vehicle, then order you to put your hands on the wheel, etc. The whole encounter is vastly different. I was a 110 lb school teacher and mother. Nothing to get freaked out over. And they didn't USE to, but do now. And, then, there's the increase of traffic stops in the news where someone in the car gets shot by the cop who overreacts from that "not knowing" that you speak of. Turn, there's just the fact that with any one allowed to carry everywhere, no one knows when they will be the next innocent person who gets shot by a nut job with a gun. Keep your guns at home. Let the cops do their job when you're out in public. The world is safer with less guns. The data shows it.
