Colin Ashby but that's not how it works. Each individual state has different laws. We don't have the same rules in every state and don't have tge same laws as the UK. The point went right over your head, you can't compare countries with totally different laws and population sizes and expect one to be remotely tge same as the other. You are comparing a country that doesn't allow gun ownership as a whole vs one that does. It doesn't take a genius to know one is going to have much higher rates that the other, just like one state will have far different homicide rates than another. Majority of states in the US have never had a school shooting.

Jameel Hadi,I'm 56 and I've had guns all my life including so called "assault rifles" which my wife and I still have and enjoy shooting in competition, hog hunting,deer hunting and just plain target shooting,along with my collection of WW2 rifles,high powered rifles and collectable handguns and shotguns. All have been purchased legally over the passed 30 years,All have never shot anyone and all are kept locked in a safe , except for the Glock pistols we carry legally everyday for protection.We don't legally carry a gun to kill anyone,we legally carry to keep from getting killed ..
We will gladly turn in our guns when the criminal element turns in theirs first.

Clinton covered up a CDC study in the 90s that suggested guns were used over a millions times a year in self defense…. All to push a gun control agenda! The article was never published by the cdc! I couldn’t imagine that number today! You sheep continue believing this radical liberal propaganda and in 10 years you’ll be scratching your head wondering what happened to democracy! Patrick Henry Hello, I am from the UK. I have never had a problem in my entire 62 years with criminals. We are not helpless victims. Oh, and the stabbing deaths in the UK is a bit lower than the US if compared per capita. Most are in the bigger cities and usually in fights between young people. This is the largest percentage of homicides in the UK and has been for decades. Yet we have far fewer homicides than the US. If anyone is helpless it is the US. At least we can go shopping without the fear of being shot.

Troy Tubins do I sleep with my gun under my bed? No. Do I have access to my gun within seconds of being alerted of an intruder? Yes I do. I can have my firearm locked and loaded within 30 seconds of being alerted. Even though it’s easily accessible, it’s impossible for my kids to get. That’s how responsible gun owners roll. My night desk has a compartment that‘s fingerprint accessible. It’s also wifi equipped and let’s me know if someone tries to get in it and access was denied. So I’m protecting my family from an accidental tragedy, along with protecting them from someone that breaks in and wants to meet Jesus. Lol. As a non gun owner, I’m sure you’re not aware of different products on the market like that.

Steve Whitehill Right on and props for trying to be as best informed in order to debate someone. The problem is when people aren't informed that try to speak on somethings behalf they know nothing on. You can't listen to people without knowledge, that's the disconnect between the "gun community" NRA and the government that explains to the general population, kinda like that old game whispers by the time it gets back around its a completely different conversation. The second amendment is NEEDED now more than ever without any changes. One of the main reasons is Russia invading Ukraine, imagine that happening here? Biden and Democrats are attempting to place us WWIII. Biden has our military trained on how to be "WOKE" and what pronouns to use but what about defending our Country. He discharged thousands for not being vaccinated. Now he's tying the hands of police and wants to prosecute them for doing their job. Do really think that they are going to jeopardize their jobs? Be prepared to be able to protect yourselves and your families, your lives may need to depend on it.

Noah Granmilno I am not aware. Those are very good things you’ve done to protect your children from harm and you still being able to access the guns if needed. You’ve put time and effort into that. Maybe gun owners need to have proof of devices that you use to protect others from taking your gun unnecessarily (for example, a kid taking their parents gun and shooting).
While our views differ, yeah ok I respect what you do to be a responsible gun owner. You probably also try not to speed and wear a seat belt and have a drivers license. Can’t there be ANY concessions from pro gun people to allow them to be responsible gun owners and reduce gun violence that is due to irresponsible gun owners or sellers? It won’t be perfect. People still speed. But I’m sure there is SOMETHING that will help the statistics. Hell I’ll be more than willing to pay tons more taxes myself to pay for anything needed from those who want to own guns in order to reduce gun related violence.
